EU offers €3m aid to Nepal following earthquake

The European Commission has offered €3m in immediate aid to Nepal, hit Saturday by a 7.8-magnitude earthquake. The aid will go towards the most urgent needs in the worst affected areas, including clean water, medicine, emergency shelter and telecommunications. The death toll had risen to above 3,000 by Monday.
