Europe Lecture speaker Jonathan Holslag in De Volkskrant

DEN HAAG (PDC) - In the upcoming weeks, Europe Lecture speaker Jonathan Holslag will write in De Volkskrant about the position of Europe in an Asian century. In a series of eight essays, the young lecturer from Brussels will warn Europeans for the significant challenges that lie ahead. 

According to Holslag, Europeans are too introverted and do not sufficiently realize that the current developments outside Europe can have a critical impact on European society in the longer term. He therefore pledges for an active European security policy.

The essays will be published in Vonk, the opinion- and background section of De Volkskant. Last weekend, Jonathan Holslag already presented the topic of the upcoming essay-series in an introductory article.
