Tsjechische premier Mirek Topolánek op bezoek in Centraal Azië (en)
In the evening of Wednesday, 11 February 2009, Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek leaves for an official visit to Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.
On Thursday, 12 February, the Premier will be in Astana holding talks with Prime Minister Karim Massimov and President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan.
On Friday, 13 February, Mirek Topolánek will be visiting Turkmenistan. His working agenda in Ashkhabad includes reception by President Gurbanguli Berdymukhamedov of Turkmenistan, talks with the country’s Energy Minister Takhberdy Tegiev and Foreign Minister Rasheed Meredov. In the afternoon, the Czech government delegation will leave for Baku. Staying in the capital of Azerbaijan, the Czech Prime Minister will meet his Azerbaijani counterpart, Artur Rasizm, and President Ilham Aliyev.
The key topic of the Czech Premier´s journey is promotion of mutual cooperation, e.g. in the field of power generation and energy in general.
