Met dank overgenomen van Tsjechisch voorzitterschap Europese Unie 1e helft 2009, gepubliceerd op dinsdag 13 januari 2009.
Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek spoke on the phone to Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko about the supplies of Russian gas to the European Union.
On behalf of the EU, the Prime Minister of the Government of the Czech Republic asked about the causes and circumstances of the delay in supplies. The Ukrainian Prime Minister informed Mirek Topolánek about some technical difficulties - more specifically the pressure of gas arriving from the Russian Federation being too low.
The Czech Prime Minister recommended her to immediately contact the Eurogas experts who are ready to assist Ukraine with technical problems.
The Ukrainian Prime Minister promised to act on this offer.
