The Council reached agreement at second reading on the EU's draft general budget for 2008, subject to formal confirmation at a forthcoming Council.

The compromise package includes financing of the Galileo project and of the European Institute of Technology and the supplementary funds necessary for Common Foreign and Security Policy.
